<The Minister of Municipalities and Housing Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail stressed that the future of housing and urban development depends on financing and partnership with the private sector, pointing to the significant growth in cooperation between the municipal sector and the private sector.
This came during the meeting organized by the Federation of Saudi Chambers, at its headquarters in Riyadh today, in the presence of the President of the Federation, Hassan bin Mujib Al Huwaisi, and the Chairman of the National Committee for Real Estate Development, Bandar bin Mohammed Al Ameri, with the participation of a number of major real estate developers and investors, with the aim of enhancing the role of the private sector as a strategic partner of the Ministry in improving the business environment, contributing to the development of services in cities and promoting local and international investments.

Al-Haqeel explained that the real estate sector is a major economic driver, with its contribution exceeding 13.5% of GDP, indicating that all the regulations issued during the past three years were prepared with the participation of the private sector.
He emphasized that the ministry is open to new ideas to raise the quality of services in cities and enhance compliance, looking forward to greater participation from chambers of commerce in consultations related to laws and regulations.
He stressed that the Ministry's role is to ensure the prevention of monopolies, while taking into account small enterprises by varying the fees for violations according to the size of cities, whether large or small, pointing out that the privatization of control works aims to ensure the application of regulations and regulations.
For his part, Al Huwaisi emphasized that the municipal sector represents the main incubator for the investment environment, through which infrastructure is developed, cities are planned and the quality of life is raised, adding that achieving growth and sustainability can only be achieved through the integrated partnership between the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing and the private sector, praising the successes and qualitative leap achieved by the Ministry in the real estate market and urban development, especially in the field of housing.
During the meeting, the Minister of Municipalities and Housing listened to the investors' interventions that addressed the most prominent challenges, visions and proposals related to the municipal sector, and promised to study what was raised in order to raise the quality of municipal services and achieve the objectives of Vision 2030 in developing cities and raising the quality of life.
His Excellency toured the headquarters of the Federation of Saudi Chambers, during which he was briefed on the recent development and improvement works carried out on the facilities and services in the Federation building, making it an honorable facade for private sector events and receiving dignitaries and foreign trade delegations, and reflecting the potential of the business sector and its institutional capabilities.

It is noteworthy that this meeting comes within the series of meetings organized by the Federation of Saudi Chambers with Their Excellencies and government officials, with the aim of consulting on decisions and regulations that contribute to improving the business environment and attracting local and international investments.
