With a total value of (2,750,000,000) two billion, seven hundred fifty million riyals, the Ministry of Justice is continuing to implement projects for specialized judicial buildings (courts and notary offices), comprising 72 buildings distributed across all regions. Among the most important of these projects are court buildings located in the Western, Eastern, Central, and Northern regions, as well as in Hail.

These contracts include the completion of the project to construct court and notary public buildings in the Eastern Region, comprising 15 buildings for all Sharia courts required by the Eastern Region. The signed contracts and projects currently under implementation also include the construction of 19 court and notary public office buildings in the Madinah region, which are currently being built at sites designated by the Ministry. As for the Riyadh region, the projects currently underway there under the four contracts signed by the Ministry include the construction of 28 court and notary public buildings in the Riyadh region.

The implementation of these projects followed a comprehensive study commissioned by the Minister of Justice, Sheikh Dr. Walid bin Muhammad Al-Samaani, in accordance with feasibility study criteria that take into account economic factors, needs, and efficiency in building designs, in line with the requirements of the Kingdom’s judicial and legal system.

The Ministry is currently preparing designs and studies for court and notary public office projects in the southern and northern regions, to be implemented in accordance with the Ministry’s plan; as part of its effort to complete its plan to provide all regions of the Kingdom with judicial buildings that are qualified and suitable for the Kingdom’s judicial and legal system, which are equipped with safety systems and entrances and exits suitable for the elderly and people with special needs, in accordance with international design principles and standards.
