Sudanese Minister of Tourism, Antiquities and Wildlife Mohamed Abu Zeid Mustafa invited Arab investors and businessmen to come to Sudan and invest in more than 700 km of the Red Sea coastline and establish various tourism projects from resorts and islands, in addition to the island of Toti, which he considered one of the most prominent tourist sites, and extended an open invitation to investors to invest in it.
Mustafa pointed out at the end of his participation in the meeting of the Arab Ministerial Council for Tourism held in the Emirate of Sharjah in the Arab Emirates that his country attracted more than 850 thousand Arab and foreign tourists last year, expecting that the number of tourists by the end of this year will exceed one million.
He added that tourists last year spent more than one billion dollars, stressing that his ministry is working hard to change Sudan's image in front of the world. The Sudanese minister motivated investors by offering his country various facilities for incoming tourists and companies wishing to invest in various tourism projects, where investors enjoy customs and tax exemptions on profits for the first five years of the project, and other facilities.
He stressed that tourism in Sudan is promising, as it possesses all natural tourism elements, represented by 37 natural sites, 22 historical sites, 76 archaeological sites, 53 parks, 14 tourist resorts, in addition to 21 exhibition and conference halls.
