The Riyadh Chamber, represented by the Youth Business Committee, revealed that it will announce the winners of the second edition of the Mubader Startup Competition during a ceremony to be held tomorrow evening, during which it will honor the winners of the first three places, in the presence of representatives of financial institutions and investors wishing to finance the winning projects, where the incentive financial prizes will be distributed to the winners.
Riyadh Chamber, represented by the Youth Business Committee, revealed that it will announce the winners of the second edition of the Mubader Startup Competition.
The competition achieved great success in terms of participants, which amounted to 98 initiatives through the Mobader application for smartphones. The first stage began with each contestant uploading a video explaining his project idea through the application, then the jury qualified 10 contestants for the second stage, which included undergoing an intensive workshop over two days to develop business models for each project and refine the qualifiers with knowledge and skills of managing commercial projects, then the third stage, which opened the voting on the videos of these projects in front of an audience of 30 people. which represents 30% of the final score, while the jury's decision represents 70% to choose the winners of the first three places, each of whom will receive financial prizes and a package of administrative, technical, marketing and financial consultations with the opportunity to obtain the necessary funding for the project by the financing bodies and investors invited to the closing ceremony of the competition, which will be held at the Chamber's headquarters under the patronage of Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al-Zamil, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chamber.
On this occasion, Ali bin Saleh Al-Othaim, Chairman of the Chamber's Youth Business Committee, explained that the competition aims to consolidate and stimulate the culture of self-employment and encourage the idea of creativity and innovation among Saudi youth, which means the establishment of a knowledge society, and contribute to the absorption of the national labor force by increasing the number of emerging projects that contribute to stimulating growth, adding that the competition seeks to enable youth to present their project ideas to specialized experts in a competitive environment and help them turn their ideas into executable projects.
