Euromoney's fourth GCC Financial Forum concludes

The fourth Euromoney GCC Finance Forum concluded in Manama, where more than 500 financial, finance and investment experts from government, regulatory agencies and private sectors discussed the latest developments in the GCC region.

The GCC's Chief Economist commented. Dr. Yarmukutilin, Chief Economist of the Economic Development Board, commented: «Hosting the fourth Euromoney GCC Financial Forum in the Kingdom of Bahrain adds to the Kingdom's position as a financial center in the region.«

Speakers agreed that the GCC energy companies should enhance their international investments to establish themselves as key players in the global energy sector. <Speakers at the forum agreed that oil prices will remain low in the near term, but disagreed on the direction of oil prices in the medium term. They also agreed on the future dynamics of the energy sector, including India's important role as a demand driver, highlighting the importance of the ongoing hydrocarbon sector and the viability of Bahrain's investment program.
