Traditional carpets can be chosen to suit modern furniture as well as classic or folk furniture, as carpets retain their sophistication, elegance and charm in any room and with any possible style. It is worth noting that carpets are not affected by time and some types of carpets can even increase in value over time.

History of Carpets
Handmade carpets are an ancient art that has existed for thousands of years, weaving its threads proved that inside man has a tremendous ability to create, carpets used to record the history of peoples, and the names of its cities that put their stamp between its threads, so that each carpet carries the character of its city, and what it is famous for its drawings, colors and inscriptions that the city passed through and its crafts were influenced by it. Iranian carpets.

Iranian carpets
One of the most famous types of hand-woven carpets is the Iranian carpet, which is distinguished by its quality and breathtaking beauty that reflects its inscriptions and depiction of Iranian civilization from museums, mosques and palaces. Iranian carpets are one of the oldest and most luxurious types of carpets and are known for their high prices, as they are the most expensive carpets. Iranian carpets are woven by hand by weaving wool, silk and cotton fabrics and knots, as the number of knots in some carpets reaches one million knots. Iranian carpets are divided into two main sections, the first is tribal Iranian carpets with simple drawings that are dominated by simple geometric shapes and flowers with warm colors that are made of wool. Therefore, this type of carpet is heavy in weight. The second type of Iranian carpets are carpets made in cities, and each type is named according to the city in which it is made, such as Tabriz carpets made of silk fibers with geometric patterns in dark colors such as deep red and dark blue.

Turkish carpets
Mostly hand-woven, Turkish carpets have a long history that tells the stories of the past and present. These carpets used to be made of pure wool or cotton, but the industry quickly evolved and introduced new materials such as silk. Its designs have also evolved from primitive to elaborate and elaborate forms and are now characterized by their bright and beautiful colors and Islamic decorative character, which can be interspersed with some writings in Ottoman letters or some Qur'anic verses, and exclude the presence of spirits or characters. Caucasian carpets
Caucasian carpets, which are made in the Caucasus region between the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea, are characterized by their bright and varied colors ranging from blue, pink, yellow, orange and green, but the blue color abounds in these carpets, especially on the edges. Wool is often used in its weaving and manufacturing, and it is woven into geometric shapes such as stars, squares, rectangles and triangles.
Chinese carpets
Chinese carpets are also one of the most luxurious types of carpets, especially those made in Beijing, which are characterized by their calm, traditional and vivid patterns such as birds, fish, flowers, Chinese houses and palaces, and some Chinese characters as well. Despite the beauty of this type of carpet, it is the least practical, as it loses its luster and value over time because high-quality wool is used on the face of the carpet, while the longitudinal and transverse threads are woven from dense, soft cotton.

Machine-made carpets
Modern carpets are woven by automated machines using various wool, silk, and cotton fabrics as well as synthetic fabrics such as polyester and nylon. This type of carpet is characterized by its cheap price compared to other types of carpets and its variety of shapes, patterns, colors, materials and sizes, as well as its tolerance to use and its ability to wash and clean repeatedly. Carpet factories are spread in the Kingdom, the Gulf countries and China, and you can customize your carpet to suit your taste in one of them, such as printing your photo or company logo.

Carpet and its use
Did you know that carpets are like your changing clothes between seasons? Carpet experts advise not to use the same carpets in winter and summer, but you should choose silk in summer because it is a cooler fabric that does not reflect heat.

<Carpet care
Experts advise not to wash carpets unless necessary, especially during the first months of its purchase to preserve as much as possible its soft pile and bright colors, but it is enough to clean it with a vacuum cleaner and wipe it once a week after that with a cloth dampened with water. If you want to wash carpets, it is recommended to wash them once every six months to remove accumulated stains and dirt, and avoid, as much as possible, the use of harsh brushes for fear of affecting their color and pile. Silk types can be washed in automatic dry cleaners to ensure that they are not affected and do not change their texture. Carpets should be ventilated periodically but avoid beating them to avoid damaging the yarns.
