Saudi Arabia's plastics sector is worth more than $50 billion

The plastics and petrochemical products sector is witnessing rising investments and growing demands in the Kingdom, as the Saudi Plastics and Petrochemical Industries Exhibition 2014 and the 11th International Trade Fair for Plastics Technologies and Petrochemical Industries, organized by Riyadh Exhibitions Company Limited, will be held from February 17 to 20, 2014 at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Recent studies show that the total investment in the plastics sector has reached 50 billion US dollars, which emphasizes the importance of this sector. In addition, production capacity in the petrochemical sector is expected to reach more than 100 million tons per year by 2015, strengthening the Kingdom's position as one of the largest producers of petrochemical derivatives. Saudi Arabia has emerged as one of the most attractive investment destinations in the Middle East in the field of plastics and petrochemicals. Saudi Plastics and Petrochemicals Exhibition 2014 is the largest industrial trade gathering for local and regional specialists and industrialists with the participation of more than 27 countries and 10 national pavilions. A number of leading plastics and petrochemical companies from Saudi Arabia and the region are expected to participate in the event along with a number of governmental industrial bodies from various GCC countries.Saudi Plastics and Petrochemical Industries 2014 will be held will be held in conjunction with the Saudi Printing and Packaging Exhibition 2014.
