<The Real Estate Regulatory Agency (RERA), the regulatory arm of the Dubai Land Department, will host the first conference of the Middle East and North Africa Real Estate Association (MENARES).
This conference comes in an important step to encourage regional cooperation and communication between all parties to the real estate equation by providing opportunities for discussion between professionals, investors, academics and public sector officials in order to encourage collaboration, put forward action plans and improve education in the real estate and related sectors.

The conference will be held on October 3-4, 2010, under the theme “Towards a Promising Real Estate Market”, with the support of the Department of Land and Property, the Real Estate Regulatory Agency, Dubai Real Estate College and the American University of Dubai as the academic partner of the conference.
Mahmoud El-Borai, President of Dubai Real Estate College, said: “The conference provides experts, professionals and academics in the government sector and academia with the opportunity to interact and exchange experiences and ideas that will reshape real estate ideas and practices. The conference is one of the services provided by MENARES, which also includes a range of workshops, monthly meetings and events centered on real estate studies and related topics that aim to provide the optimal platform for regional interaction and cooperation in the field of real estate."
Al-Borai pointed out that interested parties can submit working papers to the conference for the purpose of discussing them and exchanging experiences and views during the conference.
