Red Sea International announced the official opening of AMAALA, a luxury tourism destination on the northwest coast of Saudi Arabia, at the inaugural TOURISM Summit in Riyadh, and is preparing to welcome its first guests in the near future.

In a statement issued by the company, Red Sea International emphasized its leadership in creating exceptional tourism destinations that contribute to the diversification of the national economy and strengthen Saudi Arabia's position as a rising force in the global luxury tourism sector.

The first phase of AMAALA includes 6 world-class resorts, including a 5-kilometer coastal promenade, including the resort and luxury hotels that will be part of this destination, such as Equinox AMAALA with 128 rooms and 29 residences, and Four Seasons Resort AMAALA with 202 accommodation units and 25 residences with private beaches and a dedicated children's area.

Namos Amala Resort

The destination is home to the 110-room Namos Amala Resort with 110 rooms and 20 apartments, along with a host of exceptional restaurants, as well as the Rosewood Amala Resort with 110 luxury rooms and suites.

The destination is also home to the Rosewood Amala Resort.

<Amala Hotel, owned and operated by Red Sea International, will also open in the first phase of the project. The hotel is located in the Staff Village and has 144 hotel rooms. The destination also plans to host major events such as the 2027 Ocean Race Grand Final and the opening of the AMAALA Yacht Club, a sailing academy in partnership with the Monaco Yacht Club.

AMAALA is a mega project requiring an investment of 51.04 billion riyals to develop the first phase, which when completed will include 8 resorts with approximately 1,600 hotel and residential units. The project reflects AMAALA's commitment to developing a sustainable tourism destination, aiming to achieve a net environmental benefit of 30% by 2040.

Amala's first phase of the project is set to be completed by the end of the year. <AMAALA will be globally connected through the Red Sea International Airport, which receives direct flights from cities such as Doha, Dubai, Jeddah and Riyadh, with plans to connect the destination to Europe soon. Red Sea International will also reopen Al Wajh Airport in 2026, further enhancing the accessibility of this luxury destination.
