Ministry of Municipalities and Housing revealed that more than 300,000 male and female volunteers participated in volunteer initiatives in the municipalities and housing sector during 2025, as part of efforts to improve the quality of life, enhance environmental sustainability, and improve the urban landscape in the Kingdom's cities and governorates.

The Ministry explained that the voluntary initiatives included the implementation of various works, including establishing and maintaining public parks, developing the urban landscape, supporting civil societies, and contributing to reducing environmental pollution, in addition to initiatives aimed at activating urban identity, improving the residential environment and raising the quality of its facilities.

The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing has diversified volunteering tracks to include the housing track, urban landscape improvement and city decoration track, control and monitoring track, saving grace track, honoring the dead track, in addition to the comprehensive volunteering track, providing multiple volunteering opportunities that suit different segments of society and their interests.
