The units included in the ”roses“ were implemented with tunnel formwork technology, which is a ready-made formwork system for pouring various concrete elements in the factory or on site, and is manufactured from several materials such as iron and aluminum. The system was developed to cast both walls and ceilings at the same time. This system is characterized by the speed of completion by reducing the stages of implementation, such as plastering walls and ceilings with the possibility of using the molds for a large number of times, and this technology contributes to reducing material waste by 60 percent.

Incentivizing construction technology

The Construction Technology Incentive Initiative was the sponsor of the project and is credited with making great efforts for its success, providing the project developer with several training courses in cooperation with the Real Estate Institute, which contributed to increasing his capabilities.

The initiative worked to link the developer of the City of Roses project to one of the technology providers and introduce him to its approved technologies, while the Kingdom's shift to building technology will lead to a major and comprehensive change in the concept of housing to make it available to the citizen, according to his potential, and will represent a great opportunity for real estate growth and development that will make the Kingdom a leader in it, especially as it is working seriously to localize the building technology industry to be a center in the Middle East, which will represent a great renaissance for the Saudi economy and a motivation to make a change in the real estate world and provide jobs.
