Martyrs Fund signs cooperation agreement with Sakan to provide 100 housing units for its beneficiaries

The agreement, signed under the patronage of the Minister of Municipalities and Housing, allocates Riyad Bank's support through «Joud Al Iskan» to provide housing for orphans and martyrs' families.

The Fund for Martyrs, the Wounded, Prisoners, and Missing Persons signed, as part of the "Nights of Generosity and Giving" event at the "Generosity from Us and Within Us" campaign, a cooperation agreement with Riyad Bank andthe Private Developmental Housing Foundation (Sakan), with the aim of channeling support provided by Riyad Bank through the “Generosity in Housing” campaign to benefit the Fund’s beneficiaries, thereby contributing to the provision of 100 housing units for beneficiaries of the Martyrs’ Fund, under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Municipalities and Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail.

The agreement signing ceremony took place on Sunday evening in Matal Al-Bajiri, Al-Dir’iya, in the presence of Talal bin Othman Al-Ma’mar, Secretary-General of the Fund for Martyrs, the Wounded, Prisoners, and Missing Persons; Nader bin Sami Al-Kuraie, CEO of Riyad Bank; and the Secretary-General of the Private Developmental Housing Foundation, Rashid bin Muhammad Al-Jalajil. Under the agreement, the support provided by Riyad Bank through the “Joud Housing” campaign to enable the fund’s beneficiaries to obtain housing units under the “Use Leading to Ownership” (Wa’ad) program, where 50 housing units will be provided to orphans among the Fund’s beneficiaries, in addition to another 50 housing units for the families of martyrs, the injured, prisoners, and missing persons, in accordance with the approved regulations and criteria.

In this context, the Fund’s Secretary-General emphasized that the agreement represents an important step toward enhancing housing stability for the Fund’s beneficiaries, noting that providing adequate housing is one of the most significant factors contributing to the quality of life for beneficiary families. He expressed his pride in this partnership with Riyad Bank and the Developmental Housing (Sakan), which reflects the integration of efforts between the government, private, and nonprofit sectors, thereby contributing to supporting the Fund’s beneficiaries and enabling them to own homes and achieve family stability.

For his part, the Secretary-General of the Private Development Housing Foundation (Sakan) affirmed that this agreement embodies the integration between government agencies, the financial sector, and the nonprofit sector to support beneficiaries of the Fund for Martyrs, the Wounded, Prisoners, and the Missing, noting that channeling support through the Jood Al-Iskan platform helps accelerate the process of enabling beneficiary families to own homes and achieve housing stability, which enhances their quality of life and reflects the impact of community partnerships in supporting eligible groups.

For his part, the CEO of Riyad Bank explained that the bank’s participation in this agreement is an extension of its role in supporting national initiatives and promoting social responsibility, emphasizing that contributing to the provision of housing units for beneficiaries of the Fund for Martyrs, the Wounded, Prisoners, and Missing Persons is a national duty that reflects society’s appreciation for the sacrifices of this cherished group, and contributes to achieving housing stability for beneficiary families through the Jood Housing platform.

This agreement is part of efforts to strengthen development partnerships between the government, financial, and nonprofit sectors, thereby supporting housing initiatives and enabling eligible families to own homes, contributes to achieving housing stability and improving quality of life, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to strengthen social solidarity and empower beneficiary groups.
