The "Big 5 Construct Saudi 2026" exhibition opens today, Sunday, at the Riyadh Front Exhibition and Convention Center, with the participation of more than 1,000 local and international exhibitors representing more than 50 countries. It will continue until September 2, under the patronage of the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, at a time when the Saudi construction sector is witnessing rapid expansion that raises the need for more efficient solutions, advanced technologies and well-thought-out supply decisions.

This year’s edition is held under the slogan "From Foundation to Future, Solutions to Suit Different Projects," providing a platform that brings together contractors, consultants, engineers, procurement specialists and project owners, with the aim of showcasing the latest technologies, products and solutions that cover the various stages of project implementation, from foundation and construction work to sustainable operation and facilities management.
The exhibition focuses on key sectors including heavy construction, concrete technologies, heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems, and facilities management, along with environmental solutions and clean technologies, in line with the transformations taking place in the Kingdom’s construction sector within the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
The August edition includes four specialized events: the HVACR Saudi Arabia exhibition, the FM & Clean Saudi Arabia exhibition, the Heavy Saudi Arabia exhibition, and the Totally Concrete Saudi Arabia exhibition.

A platform for making supply decisions
The exhibition is being held amid increasing pressures facing work teams in the construction sector, whether in terms of making supply decisions, complying with changing regulatory requirements, or completing projects more efficiently.
By bringing together suppliers, manufacturers and solution providers on one platform, the exhibition allows specialists to compare products and solutions on offer, communicate directly with suppliers, and identify technologies and products that suit the requirements of existing and anticipated projects in various regions of the Kingdom.
A select group of Saudi companies and factories are participating to showcase products and services that support the growth of the construction sector, including Masdar, which offers a wide range of building materials, electrical products, tools and equipment, while Al Yamamah Steel Industries highlights its structural steel solutions used in infrastructure projects and major buildings.
The Hussein Brothers and Al-Hassan Ghazi Shaker companies will also be showcasing heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration technologies, while MedGulf will be presenting a range of insurance and reinsurance solutions, including engineering, property, liability and marine insurance, among others.
Construction Materials Holding Company is participating with its integrated solutions in the fields of building and construction, while the list of exhibitors also includes Al-Yami Tech Company, which specializes in pump solutions for commercial, industrial and municipal applications, Alima Company for Vertical Access Solutions, Gulf Insulation Group, and International Pipe Company.

Global solutions from more than 50 countries
The international presence of the exhibition enhances the diversity of solutions and products on offer, with companies from over 50 countries participating. From Australia, Lanmex showcases its high-performance solutions for reinforcing concrete with steel fibers, while K-Flex Insulation from Egypt presents its thermal and acoustic insulation and fire prevention solutions. Coldrock Europe, Massa, and MBK Maschenenbau from Germany demonstrate their expertise in concrete cooling technologies, production machinery, and reinforcement systems, while the Italian manufacturing sector is strongly represented by Confindustria Veneto and Oscam, which offer specialized building products and outdoor space solutions.

From the UAE, Al Mukarram Industry will showcase its construction chemicals solutions, while the International Code Council and the International Air Movement and Control Association will share their global expertise in building codes, safety standards, and the performance of HVAC systems. This year's event also sees the participation of several companies for the first time, including Arkaz, specializing in construction and engineering; Coastal Contracting; Hamti Group for engineering and construction solutions; Total Energies; Environment Icon for environmental solutions; Al Mekyal Saudi; and Modern Middle East Limited, specializing in waste management and environmental solutions.
This diverse participation reflects the growing interest of companies in directly reaching buyers, establishing new partnerships, and strengthening their presence in the Saudi construction sector.

Sustainability and clean technologies
The sustainability file has a major presence through the "Big 5 Impact Trail", which highlights practical solutions that can contribute to increasing the efficiency of projects, reducing their environmental impact and improving the long-term performance of buildings.
Several companies are participating in the event, including Masdar, which is showcasing its Kronospan wood panels and carbon-negative processed panels, and Galaxy Technologies, which is offering Albion valves with carbon transparency across its cast iron range.
Al Najm Factory is showcasing its polyurethane foam spraying system for roofs and waterproofing, while Keller is offering soil improvement and foundation solutions, and Al Futtaim Engineering Network is presenting integrated facility management and energy management solutions.

More than 50 experts in "Big 5 Talks"
On the sidelines of the exhibition, the "Big 5 Talks" sessions will be held, comprising more than 30 sessions accredited by the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program, with the participation of over 50 experts from the construction sector. These sessions will discuss a range of technical, regulatory, and operational priorities impacting project implementation in the Kingdom, including the Saudi Building Code, health and safety, project management, artificial intelligence, sustainability, concrete, modular construction, and HVAC systems.
One of the program's highlights is a keynote address by Engineer Saad Al-Shuaiel, CEO of the Saudi Building Code Center, preceding a workshop entitled "Understanding the Saudi Building Code: Key Requirements and Compliance Pathways," which provides practical guidance on code requirements, compliance pathways, and support for safer and higher-quality projects.

Leadership and governance in construction sector procurement
One session will address leadership and governance in construction procurement, focusing on project delivery, supply chain resilience, stakeholder collaboration, enhancing digital transparency, procurement challenges, and lessons learned from major projects in the Kingdom. This session will feature Darko Macura, CEO of Al-Khouli Group; Christopher Seymour, Managing Director for the Middle East and Africa at Mace Consult; and Shona Kinnaird, a member of the Chartered Institute of Building and Project Manager at Misk City, among other speakers.

Quality assurance in the construction sector
Another session, titled «Quality Assurance in the Saudi Construction Sector: From Concrete Production to Construction,» will explore ways to integrate international concrete standards with the Saudi Building Code to enhance construction quality throughout the project lifecycle. Led by Eng. Ahmed K.F. Al-Ajla, Senior Fellow, Civil Engineer, and Technical Quality Manager for Concrete, certified by the American Concrete Institute (ACI) at Dar Al-Handasah Consultants (Shair & Partners), the session will address materials quality management, inspection and testing procedures, documentation practices, workforce efficiency, and the practical challenges associated with implementing ACI and Saudi Building Code requirements at construction sites.

Partnerships and solutions for projects in the Kingdom
Mohammed Kazi, Senior Vice President at DMG Events, said that there is a growing need for reliable suppliers and practical technical expertise, along with specialized discussions about the challenges and opportunities in the construction sector, which is experiencing widespread growth across the Kingdom.
He added that the importance of "Big 5 Construct Saudi" lies in providing a comprehensive platform that helps contractors, consultants, manufacturers and project owners to make confident decisions that support project completion paths throughout the Kingdom.
