Data The General Authority for Statistics within the bulletin of average prices of construction goods revealed the recording of almost unanimous increases in rebar prices during the month of March, as the increases included most diameters, while the price of 6 mm diameter steel remained little changed, stable at about 3948.7 riyals per ton compared to 3958 riyals in the previous month.
8mm Qatar Steel recorded an increase of 1.7% to reach 2696.8 riyals per ton, compared to 2651.9 riyals in February, and the price of 10mm rebar increased by 1.8% to 2744.7 riyals per ton.<The price of 12 mm steel reached 2702 riyals, an increase of 2.9%, and 14 mm steel recorded 2705 riyals for the same, while the prices of 16 and 18 mm steel rose by 2.9% to reach 2704 and 2708 riyals per ton, respectively. The price of steel connecting cables (10 kg weight) increased by 1.5% to reach 47.4 riyals.
Different increases in electrical wires
Regarding electrical wire prices, the data showed increases ranging from 1% to 1.5% in the prices of wires with diameters of 2.5, 4 and 6 mm diameters month-on-month, while larger diameter electrical cables remained unchanged.
On the metals front, the price of aluminum (Saudi side ring) increased by 1.1% to SR95.5 compared to SR94.5 in February.

While wood prices recorded an upwardly sloping variation, with the price of Chilean lumber rising by 1.2% to 1542 riyals per cubic meter, and African teak increasing by 0.7% to 6789 riyals, Romanian wood rose 1.4% to 1529 riyals, and Indonesian Appalachian recorded an increase of 1.8% to 3105 riyals per cubic meter.
