The bulletin on average prices of goods and services issued by the General Authority for Statistics revealed a rise in the prices of most construction materials in Saudi Arabia during June 2026, led by steel and electrical cables, while some items recorded a slight decline. The data showed that the price of 6-mm rebar at 4,145.4 riyals per metric ton, while the price of 8-mm rebar rose by 0.3% to 3,310.3 riyals per metric ton, and the price of 10-mm rebar rose by 0.5% to 3,358.9 riyals.
The price of 12-mm rebar also rose by 0.2% to 3,279.3 riyals per metric ton, while the prices of both 14-mm and 16-mm rebar increased by 0.1% to 3,282.3 riyals and 3,282.4 riyals, respectively, while the price of 18-mm rebar fell by 0.1% to 3,273.7 riyals per metric ton. Chinese rebar tying wire rose by 1.6% to 55.2 riyals per 10-kilogram package.
Prices of Electrical Wires and Cables
In the electrical wires and cables sector, prices of electrical wires of various gauges rose, with the price of 2.5-mm wire increasing by 0.7% to 1.5 riyals per meter; the price of 4-mm wire rose by 0.9% to 2.2 riyals per meter; and the price of 6-mm wire rose by 0.6% to 3.3 riyals per meter. Electrical cables also saw significant increases: the price of 10-mm cable rose by 2% to 26.7 riyals per meter, and 25-mm cable rose by 2.6% to 59.7 riyals per meter, while the 35-mm, 50-mm, 70-mm, 95-mm, and 120-mm sizes recorded increases ranging from 0.8% to 2.1%, while the price of 300-mm cable fell by 0.1% to 637.1 riyals per meter.
Aluminum and Lumber Prices
As for other building materials, the price of “Saudi Halq Janb” aluminum rose by 1.1% to 103.6 riyals per 5.8-meter piece.
As for lumber, prices varied throughout June: the price of Chilean lumber fell by 1% to 1,636.9 riyals per cubic meter, while the price of Romanian lumber rose by 1.6% to 1,661.7 riyals, and the price of African teak rose by 0.7% to 6,999.7 riyals per cubic meter, while the price of Indonesian ablacash fell by 0.8% to 3,198.2 riyals per cubic meter.
