The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing called on vacant land to keep their land clean and comply with municipal requirements and regulations, thereby contributing to improving the urban landscape and reducing visual pollution in cities.
The Ministry clarified that it has begun implementing a comprehensive awareness campaign within and outside urban areas in various cities across the Kingdom, with the aim of increasing compliance among property owners, in preparation for strengthening on-site inspections following the expiration of the deadline set for 15/4/1448 AH.

It noted that these efforts are part of initiatives to improve the urban landscape and include addressing unauthorized uses of vacant land, such as its exploitation for unregulated commercial purposes, or its conversion into sites for the collection of construction waste and excavation debris, or using them as parking lots for vehicles and machinery in violation of regulations, given the negative impacts this has on the urban environment and quality of life.
The Ministry emphasized that municipal authorities and local governments will begin intensifying monitoring and field inspections after the awareness campaign ends, with the aim of increasing compliance and reducing violations, thereby enhancing the quality of the urban environment and improving the attractiveness of cities.
