Real estate expert Matar Al-Shammari confirmed that the regulatory guidelines for real estate marketing and advertising approved by the General Real Estate Authority represent an important step toward protecting investors and beneficiaries, in addition to their role in curbing irregularities and abuses within the real estate market, especially given the growing number of real estate transactions worth millions of riyals.
Al-Shammari explained that these regulations have attracted widespread attention from all stakeholders in the real estate sector, noting that their primary objective is to regulate and govern the real estate market in the Kingdom, which he described as a massive and large market where transactions involving significant sums of money take place, making it necessary to carefully regulate real estate marketing and advertising operations.
He added that, through these regulations, the General Real Estate Authority seeks to protect investors and end-users from fraud, misinformation, and deception in real estate marketing and advertising, noting that this step enhances the level of transparency among practitioners in the sector.
Al-Shammari noted that the new regulations will also help curb disorder within the market through continuous monitoring, detection of violations, and taking necessary action against violators, thereby ensuring a more regulated and disciplined real estate environment.
