The the real estate price index in the Kingdom by 1.3% during the second quarter of 2026 compared to the same period in 2025, driven by rising prices in the residential and agricultural sectors, according to data from the General Authority for Statistics.
The Authority explained that residential sector prices rose by 2.6% year-over-year, supported by an increase residential land prices by 6.3%, apartment prices by 1.1%, and residential floor prices by 0.4%, while villa prices fell by 9.7%.
Conversely, prices in the commercial sector fell by 3.2% compared to the second quarter of last year, as a result of a 3.5% decline in commercial land prices, and building prices by 0.6%, while prices for showrooms and retail stores rose by 0.4%.
The agricultural sector recorded the highest growth rate among the sectors, with prices rising by 11.3% year-over-year, driven by a corresponding increase in agricultural land prices.
On a quarterly basis, the real estate price index rose by 3% during the second quarter of 2026 compared to the first quarter of this year.
This increase was supported by a 3.7% rise in residential sector prices, driven by a 6.1% increase in residential land prices and a 0.9% increase in apartment prices, while villa prices fell by 2.1% and apartment unit prices by 1.1%.
