The efforts of the Riyadh Region Municipality, as part of its preparations to welcome the new academic year 1448-1449 AH, have contributed to raising the level of readiness of the sites surrounding educational facilities and preparing the roads leading to them, in an effort to improve the quality of municipal services and provide a safe and sustainable traffic environment for students, parents and road users.
The municipality’s field teams implemented approximately 350 engineering solutions in the vicinity of educational facilities within the scope of the municipality’s various sectors in Riyadh. These included providing traffic safety elements to reduce speed and raise the level of safety for drivers and pedestrians.
These efforts are in line with the Secretariat’s vision to be a leading Secretariat for a prosperous and sustainable Riyadh that enhances the quality of life, and its mission to promote sustainable urban development and provide high-quality services to the city’s residents.

As part of preparations for the new school year, the Secretariat has improved road safety around schools by implementing speed limits and enhancing pedestrian crossings.
