Abdullah Al-Hammad, CEO of the General Authority for Real Estate , revealed a decline in the percentage of income that families in Riyadh spend on rent , reaching about 15%, compared to more than 17.5% in September 2025.
Al-Hammad explained that this decline is among the initial effects observed and measured following the implementation of the real estate balancing decisions in Riyadh. He noted that the most vulnerable families previously bore a rental burden exceeding 301 TP3T of their income. Speaking at the "Legal Aspects of Governance" conference at King Saud University, he added that the reduction in the rental burden on families by approximately 21 TP3T represents one of the tangible results of the real estate balancing decisions, more than a year and a half after their enactment.
Al-Hammad stressed that the Crown Prince’s directives included continuously monitoring indicators related to the real estate market, in addition to submitting periodic reports reviewing the results achieved and the existing challenges.
