<His Royal Highness Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Governor of Makkah Region, recently toured the Makkah Oasis Affordable Housing Project currently being implemented in the Umm Al-Joud scheme in Makkah, to see what has been achieved from the project and the stages it has reached, and toured the showroom for the construction sites of the 500 housing units, which are witnessing continuous movement in order to complete them on time.
During his tour, His Highness listened to an explanation from Engineer Abdulrahman Al Khuraiji, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Makkah Oasis Project, who presented a report on the construction work carried out by the contracting companies and the most prominent achievements made so far, where Al Khuraiji confirmed that the progress of work and construction is proceeding according to the scheduled schedule and that the first phase units of 500 residential units will be completed and handed over to the owners soon.
For his part, Dr. Osama Al-Bar, Secretary of the Holy Capital, said that the visit of His Highness Prince Khaled Al-Faisal is an inspection visit to the project with the aim of knowing the steps of the work progress, inspecting the ongoing construction work in the project and the extent of the commitment of the developer company to deliver the units during the coming period, indicating that His Highness the Prince is always keen to follow up the projects that concern the welfare of the citizen in the region, he also explained that the experience of affordable housing in Mecca will be repeated, God willing, after it has proven its success and effectiveness through the Oasis Housing Project.
Engineer Mamdouh Al-Harbi, Executive Director of Makkah Oasis Company, said that the company is committed to implementing all works in accordance with the agreed manner and specifications, as the project has completed the concrete structure of all buildings and is currently in the final interior finishing stage, indicating that the buildings of the first phase, consisting of 500 housing units, will be delivered at the end of Jumada Al-Ahirah 1434, while the units of the second phase, consisting of 1800 housing units, will be delivered at the end of the month of Jumada Al-Ahirah 1434, while the units of the second phase, consisting of Al-Harbi stressed that the project includes in all its phases all infrastructure services such as water, sewage, telephone and electricity, in addition to asphalting, roads, lighting and public parks. Al-Harbi also revealed that the housing lottery for the owners of the second phase of the project will be at the end of the month of Rabi'II and all owners will be notified of the exact place and time. It is worth noting that the (Makkah Oasis) project is 14 kilometers away from the Haram, with an area of about 670 thousand square meters allocated for the construction of 2300 residential units in two phases, in addition to a number of commercial buildings and public facilities, where the construction of the first phase of the project consisting of 23 residential buildings, between 6 floors and 3 floors, divided into two geographical areas with a total of 500 units of large, medium and small size.
