The Ministry of Finance has started releasing preliminary and final bank guarantees provided by contractors for projects whose procedures were previously postponed. According to , the release came after the Ministry of Finance received inquiries from some ministries and government agencies about the possibility of releasing the guarantees provided by contractors and recovering them after the suspension of the launch or award of projects. In its response, the Ministry of Finance indicated that as long as the implementation of projects has been postponed and since the postponement period is not limited to a period of time and assuming that the competition is still ongoing, the guarantees can be returned to the contractors and resubmit the guarantees provided that the legal procedures are completed, and if the contractor does not want to complete these procedures due to the length of the postponement period, the project can be canceled and re-tendered again.
