<p class="p1What encourages this is that expectations indicate the growth of tourism in the current year 2016 if 15.5 million domestic tourists enjoy domestic entertainment, with total expenditures estimated at more than 15.30 billion riyals, while the Tourism Authority expected the arrival of 7.50 million tourists from abroad spending 38.If the initiatives to upgrade services are successful, the state will save 24.1 billion riyals, which will be spent by 6.8 million Saudi tourists abroad, in addition to doubling the numbers if the Kingdom is planned to be the preferred tourist destination in the Arab and regional regions.
These aspirations in our minds need an integrated program that enhances the great efforts made by the General Authority for Tourism and National Heritage and frees some restrictions on investment in the sector and the establishment of unique international festivals and competitions of various kinds, rearranging and organizing the work of tourist facilities and tourist guides and organizing periodic trips to different regions of the Kingdom to discover and learn more about our beloved homeland.
So, we expect experts, investors and academics to work with the competent authorities represented in the General Authority for Tourism and Heritage and the recently announced General Authority for Entertainment to come up with proposals and mechanisms that push and promote the development of the sector and invest the seasons of Hajj and Umrah by marketing the Kingdom touristically through a special program outside the Holy Land, especially since the "national transformation" focuses heavily on taking advantage of the untapped potential.
So, it is expected that experts, investors and academics will work with the competent authorities represented in the General Authority for Tourism and Heritage and the General Authority for Entertainment that were recently announced.
