The National Festival for Heritage and Culture (Janadriyah) kicked off on Wednesday 22/5/1434 AH corresponding to 3/4/2013 AD in its 28th session, which is organized annually by the National Guard under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, where the festival is a cultural heritage event that reflects the Kingdom's heritage and civilization and works to connect generations to link the Kingdom's past to the modernity of the present ... A group of scientists and intellectuals from inside and outside the Kingdom participate in the festival annually, giving this event a regional and global dimension.

On behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, His Royal Highness Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State, Member of the Council of Ministers, President of the National Guard and Chairman of the Supreme Committee of the National Festival of Heritage and Culture, received the guests of the festival at the Palace of Culture in the embassy district in Riyadh, where he welcomed the guests of the Kingdom, offering them the greetings and welcome of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, may God protect him.</p

The National Festival for Heritage and Culture “Janadriyah”, which has reached its 28th edition with the participation of a large number of intellectuals and intellectuals inside and outside the Kingdom, testifies that it has become a civilizational and humanitarian platform that carries advanced and developed visions, characterized by its belief in dialogue as an indispensable civilizational value for understanding and meeting with others, as the themes and topics it presents for discussion in the festival sessions reflect this because they are comprehensive and meet the hopes of many Arab and Muslim intellectuals and intellectuals and a number of countries of the world.

Janadriyah carries a number of objectives, most notably refining the values of the folk heritage to push its symbols to the forefront of the creative imagination; to be within the reach of creators options from their artistic legacies in the colors of art, literature and culture, in addition to encouraging the study of heritage to benefit from its positive aspects, and working to introduce the folk heritage by role-playing and relying on the senses to make the image more clear, and to give a vivid picture of the past in all its cultural, artistic and heritage meanings.

The Saudi show is one of the events inherent in the National Festival of Heritage and Culture, but one of the most important activities of the festival, which expresses the unity of the homeland and the unity of the people with the leadership to represent the embodiment of the nation's pride, cohesion and strength, and also represents an aspect of the inherited values that the current generation still adheres to, which is an indication of the value of the Saudi people who still cherish the heritage of their parents and grandparents.

To enhance the vital cultural role of Janadriyah locally, Gulf, regionally and internationally, the interest in it came, more broadly, to attract countries that have successful experiences in the global development process, in addition to their civilizational and cultural role, to display them before the audience of visitors to see realistically the experiences of these countries and their various legacies in a special corner prepared by Janadriyah every year, so this year's guest was ”China” with its civilization that dazzled the world.

Heritage Village
The most distinctive feature of Janadriyah is the heritage village, which represents the pulse of Janadriyah to present models that spread the fragrance of the past from the ancient environment of the Saudi society, which is characterized by its roots deep in history, and at the forefront stands a wide system of heritage exhibitions and collections, in addition to intellectual and cultural forums and dialogues that address an important aspect that tells the heritage and concerns of the Arab intellectual among a group of intellectuals, scientists, intellectuals and creators, through interesting cultural, intellectual, social and economic programs that attract visitors.
