Bringing together more than 250 international and local companies and hosting panel discussions, the Saudi Construction and Decoration Exhibition kicks off April 14 in Jeddah

Under the generous patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mishaal bin Majid, Governor of Jeddah, the 22nd edition of the Saudi Construction and Decoration Exhibition 2013 will kick off on April 14 and run through April 17 at the Jeddah Convention and Events Center in Jeddah, organized by Al-Harthi Exhibitions Company.
The ”Saudi Building and Decoration Exhibition 2013” is one of the largest specialized exhibitions in the construction and decoration sector in the region. This year’s exhibition will feature the participation of more than 250 local and international companies from Turkey, China – the United Arab Emirates – Bahrain – Egypt – Lebanon – Malaysia, as well as experts and specialists from the public and private sectors in Saudi Arabia’s construction and decoration industry. The exhibition will also feature displays of construction machinery and equipment, making it the region’s largest event for heavy construction machinery and equipment. Additionally, it will include booths forhotel and office decor, landscape and natural scenery designs, and home and shopping center designs.
In this context, Walid Saeed Wakad, Vice President of Al-Harthi Exhibitions, that this year’s exhibition will open up broad horizons for entities and parties interested in highlighting the latest developments in the field of building materials and will provide a platform for networking, building, and strengthening relationships among experts, decision-makers, and companies and entities related to the Saudi construction sector.
Given the exhibition’s importance to the development of the national economy—and considering that the construction and interior design sector is the fastest-growing sector in the Kingdom, and ranks second only to oil in the national economy, he emphasized that its market share has reached 154.4 billion riyals and is expected to increase with the exhibition’s continued success and the anticipation of it generating investment opportunities worth billions.
He noted that the greatest benefit of this major event will accrue to a large number of private-sector projects, including hotels, schools, hospitals, residential buildings, and other projects that keep pace with the Kingdom’s population growth.
The exhibition features a large contingent of experts and specialists in the construction and interior design sectors from both within and outside the Kingdom, and this year’s edition will feature the region’s largest and most modern exhibition of heavy construction equipment and machinery, organized by Al-Harthi Exhibitions in collaboration with CPI, spanning an area of more than 20,000 m², providing visitors and participants with a unique platform where manufacturers, distributors, and clients—including businesspeople and specialists—can come together.
On the sidelines of the 22nd edition of the Saudi Construction and Decoration Exhibition, the Saudi Quality Council, in collaboration with Al-Harthi Exhibitions, is organizing a high-level seminar covering the construction sector and addressing the latest developments and challenges in this field, featuring presentations by a select group of the most renowned experts and specialists in the construction sector.
