The Shura Council agreed that the Saudi Industrial Development Fund (SIDF) should review the guarantees, fees and charges it charges, to ensure the acceleration and facilitation of the lending mechanism. It agreed that quantitative performance standards should be set for the Fund's work and that its results should be attached to future reports.
It also agreed during its discussion of the Fund's annual report during its recent session that the Fund should work with the participation of the relevant authorities to prepare a detailed report explaining all the obstacles that limit the establishment of industrial projects in all regions of the Kingdom and the role of each party in addressing those obstacles.
The Shura called on the Fund to align its lending programs with the industries identified in the National Industrial Strategy in order to create more job opportunities for citizens and include detailed information in its reports.
He listened to the view of the Administration and Human Resources Committee on the remarks of the members expressed during the discussion of the annual performance report of the Public Pension Agency for the fiscal year 1433/1434 AH, read by the Chairman of the Committee, Dr. Mohammed Al Naji.
The Shura agreed that the Public Pension Corporation should include in its annual reports its general investment policies with performance measurement indicators and that the Corporation should work with government agencies to complete the construction of the database of individual accounts for employees in the civil and military sectors who are on the job.
It also voted to approve the Public Pension Agency to prepare its main branches to open women's sections, taking into account the realization of privacy in this regard.
The Shura appreciated the major development projects ordered by King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz in the Two Holy Mosques, including the expansion of the Grand Mosque to increase its capacity to more than 2.5 million worshippers, the expansion of the masjid to accommodate more worshippers in the Old House, and the major expansion of the Prophet's Mosque, which will increase its capacity to more than 1.8 million worshippers.
The Shura also voted to approve the General Retirement Corporation to prepare its main branches to open women's sections.
