With specialized media coverage provided by Amlak Real Estate Newspaper, the sixth edition of Cityscape Qatar kicks off today, featuring 85 real estate companies from more than 20 countries and an expected attendance of over 8,000 visitors, at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center. For their part, Informa Exhibitions and Ilan, the two companies organizing the exhibition, confirmed the participation of a large number of leading local, regional, and global companies specializing in the construction and real estate sectors.
Diverse real estate projects
The exhibition, which runs from March 13 to 15, showcases the world’s best investment opportunities, including residential, hospitality, retail, and commercial projects, among others. According to the organizers, this year’s edition is distinguished by the diversity of local and international participants, with Pakistan showcasing 50 distinguished projects. A group of major regional and international companies will also present their projects to thousands of private-sector clients and investors, as well as leading real estate professionals.
Vilnius Grand Project
All participating companies have completed their preparations to welcome clients from across the region, who will learn about the latest real estate projects, Among the thousands of major regional and international projects to be showcased during the exhibition is the Vilnius Grand project for luxury and modern homes and real estate, which were built around a massive golf course on the 270-hectare Vilnius Grand Resort property in Lithuania.
The Orchid Plaza Project
Al-Qasir Real Estate Investment and Development Company will also showcase the Orchid Plaza project, consisting of 305 residential apartments to be built in the Juffair area of the Bahraini capital, Manama, in addition to the Cornwall Land project in the United Kingdom, which features approximately 10 feddans of freehold communal pastureland and is situated within an area suitable for a wide range of uses.
Cityscape Qatar Conference and Dialogues
On the sidelines of Cityscape Qatar 2017, the "Cityscape Qatar Conference" will take place concurrently with the exhibition, in addition to free seminars as part of the “Cityscape Qatar Dialogues,” which will be held during the exhibition and are designed for real estate experts and investors alike.
The 2022 World Cup Boosts the Hotel Sector
Numerous projects will be discussed throughout the exhibition, some of which will be part of Qatar National Vision 2030, in addition to the Qatar Rail project and the hotels and stadiums currently being developed for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Cityscape Qatar 2017 will bring the real estate community together to promote and support the growth of the industry, providing regional and international participants with an opportunity to network, discuss common issues, and forge partnerships.
A delegation from Amlak Real Estate Newspaper arrives in Doha
It is worth noting that a high-level delegation from Amlak Real Estate Newspaper, the exhibition’s specialized sponsor, headed by Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Issa, Editor-in-Chief, arrived in Doha yesterday to participate in the exhibition’s events. On this occasion, Al-Issa predicted a rise in demand for residential and commercial real estate, as well as retail, hospitality, healthcare, and entertainment facilities, and infrastructure in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. Al-Issa attributed this to population growth in the Gulf region, which is increasing at a compound annual growth rate of 2.5 % and is expected to reach 56.9 million by 2018, The editor-in-chief of Amlak newspaper highlighted the strength of the Gulf real estate market, noting that the value of real estate projects currently under development in the Gulf region is estimated at approximately $1.5 trillion through 2025, The UAE leads the way with projects in the design, bidding, or construction phases, valued at $940.5 billion, followed by Saudi Arabia in second place with projects valued at $461.2 billion, while Qatar ranks third with projects valued at $205.8 billion. The list also includes Oman ($63.5 billion) and Bahrain ($46 billion).
