A spectacular conclusion to the «Youth Business» Expo in Al-Sharqiyah

The 2013 Eastern Province Youth Business Exhibition and Forum, organized by the Eastern Province Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with Dhahran Exhibitions Company, recently concluded its activities at the company’s headquarters from the 5th to the 7th of this month.
The exhibition featured more than 150 initiatives by young men and women, who showcased their innovations in the business world and took advantage of the offers and facilities available. The event also attracted a large number of visitors throughout the forum’s duration, A number of young entrepreneurs praised the success of the exhibition, which contributed significantly to creating economic and social momentum through the exchange of knowledge and by enabling participants to learn about the latest developments in the local market, new ideas, and the creativity of emerging talent.
The exhibition aimed to support and motivate young entrepreneurs to promote their products and projects, and to help overcome many of the difficulties and challenges they may face in the wider business world. Khalid Al-Dabal, former chairman of the Young Entrepreneurs Council, said that the exhibition is an extension of previous exhibitions organized by the Young Entrepreneurs Council with significant support from the Eastern Province Chamber of Commerce, noting that there has been an increase in the number of male and female participants compared to the first exhibition held in the region in 2009, which had only 40 participants, whereas at the 2013 Eastern Province Young Businessmen and Women Exhibition, the number of participants reached approximately 160 booths, He noted that the Eastern Province Chamber of Commerce is always careful in selecting participants and ensuring the quality of the products presented, and that the success stories achieved by the participants help drive economic progress.
Abdulaziz Al-Othman, a member of the Young Entrepreneurs Council, said that the fair aims to highlight the aspirations of young male and female entrepreneurs and the challenges facing this sector, to bring young people of both genders into the business community, and to encourage them to enter the business sector, and to serve as a bridge between youth initiatives and projects and funding.
Abdullah bin Ali Al-Majdouei, a member of the Board of Directors of the Eastern Province Chamber of Commerce and a well-known businessman, praised the distinctive ideas behind the initiatives presented by young entrepreneurs at the exhibition, calling on them to emulate the experiences showcased there and to resolve to take the first step and enter the local market.
Al-Majdouei noted that the local market in the region is brimming with new ideas and youth-led projects, which instill confidence that commercial and economic activity is on the right track and underscore the vision and goals of young people in continuing the legacy of their parents and grandparents. He called on young entrepreneurs—both men and women—to benefit from global experiences and expertise, and to attend seminars and forums that can be of benefit to them, broaden their horizons, and provide them with sound information to continue innovating in their work.
