The value of real estate transactions that took place during the month of Shawwal 1438 AH decreased by 21% compared to the same period last year, amounting to 11.5 billion riyals, and data issued by the Ministry of Real Estate showed that the value of real estate transactions decreased by 29% during the first ten months of 1438 AH to reach 173.7 billion riyals compared to about 245.1 billion riyals during the same period last year.

Real estate transactions on land plots (residential and commercial) accounted for the largest share during the month of Shawwal 1438 AH, amounting to 10.4 billion riyals, with a value of about 90 % of the total value.

As for the most active cities in terms of the value of residential real estate transactions during the month of Shawwal, Riyadh was the highest with deals worth 2.1 billion riyals, a decrease of 39 % compared to the same month last year, followed by the Jeddah region by about 1 billion riyals, a decrease of 39 %.
