With the participation of a group of ministers, governors, specialists and those interested in economic affairs, the Eastern Chamber will organize the launch of the “Eastern Economic Forum” on November 8-9, under the slogan "Partners in Tomorrow's Vision", which will be held under the patronage and presence of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef, Governor of the Eastern Province. <On this occasion, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Eastern Chamber, Abdulrahman Al-Attishan, explained: Holding a forum of this size comes out of the Chamber's keenness to keep abreast of the developments and economic transformations taking place in the country and their implications for the Saudi private sector as a key partner in the development process, and considered the announcement of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 as the biggest transformation in the Kingdom's economy by announcing its transition from dependence on oil as the only source of national income to diversify the economic base and take advantage of all the strengths that the Kingdom possesses, whether natural resources, strategic location or human resources.
Al-Attishan added that the forum will be held under the patronage and attendance of His Royal Highness Prince Saud Nayef, Governor of the Eastern Province. Al-Attishan added that the most important thing that distinguishes the Eastern Economic Forum is the comprehensiveness of the topics and the collective dialogue it adopts on the various challenges and roles that the business sector can play in realizing the Kingdom's vision for tomorrow.
He pointed out that the forum aims to stimulate the business sector in achieving Vision 2030, contribute to creating effective channels of communication between the public and private sectors to achieve constructive economic balance, strengthen the business sector's partnership to advance the national economy and put the Kingdom on a sustainable path of economic growth, in addition to highlighting the economic importance and comparative advantages of the Eastern Province in the Kingdom's economy.
