Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Issa, editor-in-chief of the real estate newspaper Amlak, emphasized the need for the Ministry of Housing to disclose details regarding the commitment of owners of “white land”—who have been issued bills—to pay the amounts owed, In an interview with CNBC Arabia, Al-Issa called on the ministry to exercise absolute transparency and clarify the matter to the public so that the initiative can be evaluated and studied in its early stages, especially in light of economic conditions that change from time to time.

Al-Issa emphasized the importance of flexibility in implementing the system so that it can bear fruit and the real estate sector can reap its benefits; pointing out the importance of assisting landowners in developing their land through specific and flexible mechanisms involving the Ministry, banks, and other relevant authorities to coordinate and find radical solutions for converting such land into residential and commercial properties, exhibition spaces, and other activities.

The editor-in-chief of “Amlak Real Estate” highlighted the imperative for major companies to play an active and influential role by forming strategic alliances to develop as much undeveloped land as possible, for the benefit of society and citizens, in addition to the economic recovery this would generate.
