Minister of Housing inaugurates Riyadh Real Estate Exhibition Major development and financing companies under one roof

With a heavy media presence and the participation of major real estate companies from inside and outside the Kingdom, His Excellency the Minister of Housing Majid Al Haqeel inaugurated the Riyadh Real Estate Exhibition, which will be held from 22 to 25 April at the Exhibition and Convention Center in Riyadh, with the participation of several government agencies, in addition to a group of real estate development and financing companies and companies concerned with housing, real estate and construction affairs.

Events accompanying the exhibition

<The exhibition includes a set of accompanying events that include lectures, seminars and workshops that review the reality of the housing market in the Kingdom and mechanisms to support and develop it, in addition to discussing the plans and programs of the Ministry of Housing and its efforts in developing urgent solutions for housing.
The accompanying sessions and workshops, which will last for three days, include a review by His Excellency the Governor of the General Authority for Real Estate Essam Al Mubarak of the Authority's work plan with the participation of the Saudi Real Estate Institute, in addition to a workshop entitled “Real Estate Index” with the participation of the General Authority for Statistics, and another on the real estate retail sector, and the workshops accompanying the exhibition include a review of a number of programs and initiatives of the Ministry of Housing such as land fees, sorting units and Ittamamam, and Ejar program, and conclude the workshops with the Real Estate Fund on “real estate financing”.

<During the opening, the Minister visited the Ministry of Housing pavilion participating in the exhibition and was briefed on the various corners highlighting the Ministry's current and future projects, including residential units of villas, apartments and townhouses, within projects that integrate all the necessary service facilities such as mosques, schools, health centers and all other service sectors, in addition to commercial and recreational facilities, in addition to its programs and initiatives In addition to its various programs and initiatives that come within the framework of the policy of regulating the housing sector and facilitating a balanced and sustainable housing environment, such as ”White Land Fees”, ”Ejar”, ”Owners Union”, ”Completion”, “Wafi”, partnership with the private sector, development housing, and the “Completion” center, in addition to the programs provided by the Real Estate Development Fund in the framework of providing subsidized mortgage loans to enable citizens to build and buy the housing they want.

Partnership with 30 real estate developers

His Excellency stressed that this exhibition is an opportunity to learn about the solutions provided by the Ministry to provide adequate housing for citizens, in addition to viewing the experiences of real estate development and financing companies locally and internationally, and learning about their developments in this sector, pointing out that the Ministry is keen to strengthen the partnership with qualified developers and financiers in line with the strategic objective of supporting supply, enabling demand and stimulating real estate supply, in addition to improving the performance of the real estate sector and raising its contribution to GDP.

He valued the partnership with the private sector to enable citizens to build and buy the housing they want. His Excellency valued the partnership with the private sector and described it as of paramount importance in achieving the ministry's objectives in the policy of supporting supply and enabling citizens to obtain adequate housing, pointing out that during the ”Residential" program launched by the Ministry of Housing at the beginning of last year 2017, 282 thousand residential and financial products were allocated in all regions, and the target for the current year was announced.
