The Shura Council Services Committee called on the Ministry of Housing to study allowing unmarried male and female citizens aged 25 years and above to apply for one of the Ministry's housing options, and called on the Committee to study the reasons for the reluctance of some citizens to receive some housing products, and provide the necessary solutions to address the issues they face.

A member of the Council pointed out that the Ministry of Housing should study the causes of dissatisfaction with its products among a segment of beneficiaries and develop an urgent plan to address them, stressing the importance of enabling women with a family to all housing loans and products without linking them to their social status, while a member called on the Ministry of Housing to pay attention to priority completion in cities where the per capita income is low.

In its recommendations to the Council, the Committee emphasized on the Ministry to continue to implement services for its plans and study contributing to their operating costs, if necessary, as well as implementing facilities in coordination with the concerned authorities, to ensure the readiness of the developed plans when they are handed over to citizens.
After presenting the committee's report and recommendations for discussion, a member of the Council called on the Ministry of Housing to apply Article 9, especially with regard to the exceptions contained in paragraphs (b) and (c) of the executive regulations of the White Land Fees System and to work to apply the fees to those subject to the provisions of the system effectively and fairly.
For his part, a member praised the development of the report of the Ministry of Housing and the information it contained, questioning the reasons for the reluctance of beneficiaries from the option of selling on the map, noting that there is an overlap of powers between the Ministry and the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs, which caused the delay in the approval of some plans and the issuance of construction licenses.
At the end of the discussion, the Chairman of the Committee asked the Committee to give the Committee more time to study the opinions and suggestions raised by the members and return with its viewpoints
