Real Estate – The Minister of Justice and Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council, Dr. Walid Al-Samaani, issued a directive not to take any action to approve, amend or add to the deeds of ownership except after the approval of the ownership committees in the General Authority for State Properties.

The Ministry of Justice’s directive applies to arguments submitted to the Supreme Court. Adding missing data to deeds is done by their owners submitting them to the General Authority for State Properties. Upon completion of the application requirements and the issuance of a recommendation to that effect by the formed committees, it is referred to the competent court to attach it to the title deed and its record, at which point it becomes enforceable.

The royal decree issued on 3/1441 AH stipulated that the courts would not accept any claims or requests related to proving ownership of land based on revival, possession, or even ordinary documents that require procedures or additions, and the decree applies to deeds issued before its date.

Points to consider in cases of legalization

The courts do not accept any lawsuits related to deeds of ownership.

The deeds include proof of land ownership through revival, possession, or ordinary documents.

Addition and modification fall under the jurisdiction of the State Real Estate Authority .

Cases are referred to the court if the application requirements are complete and the authority approves.
