The Saudi Commission for Accredited Valuers (Taqeem) revealed that it has received Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)  As the first valuation organization in the Arab world to obtain this accreditation, which raises the level of professionalism and supports the development of the real estate valuation market in the Kingdom, distinguishes the members of the Authority and gives them international confidence and increased learning opportunities, based on the advanced scientific qualification provided by the Authority during the training program and the experiences gained by the members by practicing the profession within the conditions of obtaining membership.

Real Estate Valuation Fellowship Accreditation Exchange

 This accreditation allows all RICS members with MRICS and FRICS memberships to obtain a Fellowship in Real Estate Valuation, raising the level of professionalism in the market in accordance with international best practices. According to this mutual accreditation, valuation members who hold the Fellowship in Real Estate Valuation can obtain MRICS membership after passing the OSH, sustainability and teamwork exam and attending an online training course offered by RICS titled “Business Ethics”.

 RICS members with MRICS membership can also obtain Fellowship membership from Taqeem after passing the tests offered by Taqeem in the regulatory framework for the valuation profession in the Kingdom, the Charter and Ethics of the Profession (101), and Real Estate and Urban Planning (107).

Efficiency of the Authority's training programs

The Secretary-General of Taqeem, Engineer Sultan Al-Jaris, stated, ”The accreditation comes as an extension of the Authority's international partnerships and keeping abreast of the global practices offered by these organizations in the evaluation profession in its various branches, and this accreditation comes as a confirmation of the efficiency of the training programs offered by the Authority and the skills and educational skills it contains in line with what international organizations offer. 

Enhancing the level of professionalism

Robert Jackson, Managing Director of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, said: "This collaboration with the Saudi Authority of Certified Valuers (Taqeem) provides a unique opportunity for both organizations to work together and increase professionalism in the Saudi valuation field: "This collaboration with Taqeem provides a unique opportunity for the two organizations to work together and increase the professionalism of the Saudi valuation industry, as RICS and Taqeem members will work together according to common global standards based on a high work ethic that is part of the rules and regulations. This mutual accreditation agreement will also contribute to the development of appraisers and qualify them to obtain accredited certificates, which will increase international confidence and credibility in the real estate sector in the Kingdom.

Multiple international accreditations for the organization

The Saudi Authority for Certified Valuers (Taqeem) has a number of international accreditations with valuation organizations around the world, as it has previously signed a mutual accreditation agreement with the American Society of Appraisers (ASA) in the branch of machinery and equipment valuation, which enables those who hold the fellowship of the Authority to obtain the fellowship of the American Society of Appraisers (ASA), and the training programs offered by Taqeem in economic facilities valuation are accredited by the International Institute of Business Valuers (iiBV)
