Official data released by the monthly reports of the “Residential” program revealed that the average number of families who lived in their homes during the past year exceeded 12 thousand new families per month, achieving a 50 percent increase compared to 2019, which recorded an average of eight thousand families. While the average number of monthly beneficiaries increased to 40 thousand families during 2020, with a growth of 67 percent compared to the previous year 2019, and the number of families who lived in their homes during December of last year 2020 recorded the highest monthly rate, with more than 15586 families who lived in their homes.
Unprecedented record monthly figures
“Sakani” data showed that the last two months, November and December 2020, recorded unprecedented records in the number of new families who lived in their homes by 30327 families, out of about 138 thousand families who lived in their homes during 2020, while the last two months recorded 71,390 new families, out of 390 thousand families who benefited from the financing and housing program options during 2020.

It showed that 34011 families benefited during the past month, including 15586 families who lived in their homes, bringing the total number of families who benefited from all housing and financing options and solutions provided by the program during 2020 to 390819 families, exceeding 30 percent of the 2020 target, including 138317 families who lived in their homes.

1.1 million Saudi households benefited
The report showed that the total number of families benefiting from the “Sakani” program reached more than 1.1 million Saudi families from its launch in 2017 until 2020, including more than 424 thousand families who received subsidized mortgages of up to 100 percent, in addition to more than 18 thousand families benefiting from the “Development Housing” program by providing them with suitable housing on a utilization system, issuing contracts for residential lands within “Sakani” plans exceeding 122 thousand lands, in addition to issuing 407479 real estate transaction tax certificates for the Saudi family.
The report showed that the number of families who have benefited from the program has reached more than 1.1 million.
93 residential projects under construction
The “Sakani” website and application showcases 93 residential projects under construction that provide more than 141 thousand units ranging from apartments, villas and townhouses around the cities of the Kingdom, in addition to land plans within 217 plans that provide 178,489 residential lands distributed in various regions and cities of the Kingdom, and the 42 ready-made residential projects with an average price of 350 thousand riyals.
