With an investment of 16 million riyals... The first glass factory in “Hail” is inaugurated”

During his inspection visit to the industrial city in the Hail region, His Excellency the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Mr. Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khuraif, the region’s first glass manufacturing plant, with total investments of approximately 16 million riyals and covering an area of nearly 7,000 m², and represents added value for the industrial sector as it is the first of its kind in the Hail region and the second in the northern regions of the Kingdom, which will help meet the needs of those regions in general, in addition to the aspiration to expand exports of its products to neighboring countries.
During the visit, His Excellency toured a number of existing and ongoing industrial projects in the Hail Industrial City, beginning his tour with a visit to the Taldin Plastic Solutions factory, which has an investment of 525 million riyals for the production of plastic pipes and tubes, plastic insulation, plastic boxes and drums, and plastic tanks. He then visited the Ladunk International factory, with investments of 25 million riyals on an area of 13,834 m² for the production of PVC doors and windows, as well as the Aja Pharmaceutical Industries factory, which produces antibiotics, antacids, analgesics, laxatives, antipyretics, and various other medications that contribute to ensuring the Kingdom’s pharmaceutical security.
For his part, the CEO of “Madin,” Engineer Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Salem, explained that the Faisal Mahdi Glass Factory—which was inaugurated by His Excellency the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Chairman of the Board of Directors of “Madin”—is an example of the high-quality projects owned by entrepreneurs in our industrial cities.
He added that the project specializes in the production of security glass, double-pane glass, frosted glass, and thermal insulation glass, and is aimed at exporting abroad. He noted that the industrial cities offer an attractive investment environment due to the streamlined procedures, incentives, and financing solutions that “Madin” to its industrial partners, entrepreneurs, and small and medium-sized enterprises in collaboration with the public and private sectors.
He emphasized that “Madin”“s strategy to empower industry and contribute to increasing local content focuses on providing innovative services and products to attract and localize value-added domestic and international investments in the industrial cities, as part of the initiatives entrusted to ”Madin“ under the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program ”NADLAB.“
He noted that the Hail Industrial City was established in 2003 on an area of 3,880 million m², of which 3 million m² are developed areas comprising 107 industrial and service contracts—including those that are operational, in production, under construction, or in the process of being established.
He explained that it hosts a wide range of industries, most notably: food products; other manufacturing industries; pharmaceutical products; fabricated metal products (excluding machinery and equipment); other non-metallic mineral products; rubber and plastic products; chemicals and chemical products, electrical equipment, clothing manufacturing, wood and wood product manufacturing (excluding furniture), and the manufacture of straw and plaited goods, furniture manufacturing, and the manufacture of base metals.
Al-Salem pointed out that the Hail Industrial City has 12 ready-to-use factories with an area of 1,500 m², while 24 ready-to-use factories, each with an area of 450 m², are currently under construction to support entrepreneurship and small and medium-sized enterprises. He noted that ”Madin“ has completed infrastructure services, including networks for: drinking water, stormwater drainage, sewage, electricity, street lighting, and the rehabilitation of major roads,” noting that the Hail Industrial City is distinguished by its proximity to Hail International Airport, 15 km away, and the Hail train station, 60 km away.
For his part, the project’s founder and general manager, Faisal Mahdi Al-Tabinawi, explained that the Hail Industrial City offers an excellent environment for any investor seeking to achieve substantial returns, as production activities can be launched through simple procedures, in a short time, and with the lowest possible operating costs, expressing his gratitude to His Excellency the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources for inaugurating the project and supporting entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized enterprises, noting that he will work to ensure the factory plays an active role in the development of the Hail region.
It is worth noting that since its launch in 2001, “Madin” has focused on developing fully serviced industrial zones; today, it oversees 35 existing and under-development industrial cities across various regions of the Kingdom, in addition to overseeing private industrial complexes and cities. The existing industrial cities are home to more than 4,000 factories, including those that are operational, under construction, or in the process of being established.
