The Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) launched an awareness campaign in cooperation with the Ministry of Commerce to clarify the rights of beneficiaries of postal services related to e-commerce, with the aim of raising awareness of these rights and the roles of all parties involved in regulating e-commerce operations in the Kingdom.
The CITC defined the types of postal shipments, explaining the difference between parcels and parcels, which are regulated by the Commission, and shipments resulting from e-commerce operations
which are regulated by the Ministry of Commerce.<The CITC emphasized that delivering e-store orders to customers, addressing issues and other steps related to purchasing through e-stores is the responsibility of the e-store.
The CITC pointed out that the party responsible for receiving complaints differs depending on the type of contractual relationship, as the Ministry of Commerce receives complaints from customers about e-stores, while complaints from the e-store about its service provider are within the jurisdiction of the CITC.
This campaign comes within the joint efforts between the Ministry of Commerce and CITC to educate e-commerce customers about their rights and duties.
