His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Salman, Governor of the Madinah Region, inaugurated the Madinah Heritage Quarter at King Fahd Park in Madinah. His Highness toured the quarter and expressed his admiration for the rich heritage of the Madinah region it showcases. His Highness called for its continuation and development year after year, to include new pavilions and diverse events, given the high turnout of visitors, especially those from outside the Madinah region.

It is worth noting that the district is located in King Fahd Park in Madinah, covering an area of 120,000 square meters. It serves as a model of Madinah’s old neighborhoods and features a replica of Al-Ainiya Commercial Street, historical courtyards, and buildings featuring traditional architectural styles, as well as the Madinah Theater area connected to open-air terraces overlooking the plaza for public activities and events.

The city’s mayor, Dr. Khalid Taher, states that the Madinah Heritage District is one of the projects working to preserve the urban heritage and reaffirm the traditional urban identity of Madinah, under the care and attention of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, and His Royal Highness the Deputy Crown Prince—may God protect them – for Madinah and its development projects, foremost among which are the construction and expansion of the Noble Prophet’s Mosque and the central district, as well as the preservation of its religious identity. He expressed his gratitude and appreciation to His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Salman, Governor of the Madinah Region, for his continuous follow-up and support for all steps toward development and progress, and for his ongoing initiative to revive the region’s heritage, adding that the event represents a blend of authenticity and contemporary dynamism.
