Ministry of Transportation and Logistics completes the dualization of 233 kilometers of the Kharma-Rania-Bisha road

<The Ministry of Transport and Logistics continues to work on completing the implementation of the dualization project of Al-Kharmah-Runiyah-Bisha road, which is being implemented with two lanes in each direction, with a total length of 360 kilometers, of which 233 kilometers have been completed.

The project consists of nine different phases, of which the first and second phases have been completed, with the remaining phases, with a total length of 127 kilometers, to be completed successively.

This project, which comes within the works aimed at improving the quality of the Kingdom's road infrastructure in accordance with international standards, aims to link the Makkah region to the Asir region with a double road that contributes to raising the level of safety and reducing the rate of traffic accidents on this vital road.

The completion rate of the project in its first and second phases reached 100%, the third phase by 88%, the fourth phase by 96%, the fifth phase reached 91%, 56% of the sixth phase was completed, the seventh phase reached 31%, the eighth phase came by 34%, and the completion rate of work in the ninth phase reached 33%.The project comes within the framework of raising the level of traffic safety on all roads in the Kingdom, improving the quality of infrastructure and enhancing the quality of life, as the Ministry of Transport and Logistics affirms its determination to implement its development projects aimed at serving the region, and its keenness to continue completing all its projects in accordance with the operational plans and exert all efforts to improve infrastructure to upgrade the quality of road projects in various regions to elevate the Kingdom's transportation system to the aspirations of Vision 2030.
