<The Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs has handed over to the Ministry of Housing all approved municipal grant schemes that have not been distributed to citizens, including 312,000 housing plots in various cities and regions. <The ministry explained in a report that it directed the secretariats to coordinate with representatives of the Ministry of Housing to hand over the plans in a circular issued early last year. The ministry also directed the municipalities to hand over the remaining approved municipal grant plans, which have been partially distributed and of which 224,000 housing plots remain to be added to the ownership of the Ministry of Housing. The number of housing plots granted to the Ministry of Housing in approved municipal grant schemes has so far reached a total of 536,587 housing plots covering all governorates and their dependencies.
In the same context, the ministry said: It has allocated land to many government agencies for various purposes, where 1032 pieces were allocated with a total area of more than 296,268,735 square meters and 19 new pieces were allocated to the Ministry of Housing other than municipal grants with a total area of 13,152,308 square meters.
