Housing Program Showcases Its Services at a Workshop

The Sakani Program presented its objectives during a workshop at the Restatex Real Estate Exhibition, where Ayman Mohammed Saleh, Assistant Undersecretary for Housing Support at the Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs, and Housing, explained that the Sakani Program has provided services to more than 225,000 families during the past year, 2021, of which more than 186,000 families have moved into their homes.

Workshop participants confirmed that the number of beneficiary families since the program’s inception in 2017 has now reached 1.2 million Saudi families, of which more than 500,000 have moved into their homes, The participants noted that the “Sakani” program aims to serve 180,000 new families in 2022, 130,000 of whom will move into their homes, as well as provide more than 100,000 subsidized mortgage loans.

Sorting Real Estate Units... Regulation of the Sector

“Restatex Riyadh Real Estate” organized a workshop titled “The Contribution of Real Estate Unit Classification in Stimulating and Regulating the Real Estate Sector,” during which the director of the Real Estate Unit Classification Program, Engineer Muhannad Al-Abboud, explained that the real estate unit classification service consists of procedures and requirements through which a building or real estate complex is classified or reclassified into several real estate units, thereby defining all information about the real estate unit, including its share of the land area, its share of the common areas in the property, and its rights of use.

Highlights on the Vacant Land Program

Engineer Abdulhamid Al-Hammad, head of the White Land Fees Program, confirmed during his participation in the “Restatex Riyadh Exhibition” that the land invoiced under the program to impose fees on white land totaled more than 500 million square meters, while the land that has been put to use through development, is currently under development, or has been transferred amounted to more than 100 million square meters.

Workshop participants revealed that revenue from fees allocated to increase the housing supply amounted to more than 2.2 billion riyals, which was spent on the development of more than 80 housing projects.
