Ministry of Justice receives 12,950 lawsuits related to real estate disputes in 9 months

The Ministry of Justice announced that it received 12,950 lawsuits related to real estate disputes during the past nine months, an increase of 9 percent compared to the same period last year. The courts of Riyadh region recorded the highest number of these cases with 34 percent, by receiving 4392 cases, followed by the Makkah region 4328, and the Eastern region 1937.

Madinah courts received 899 cases, followed by Asir region with 673 cases, Qassim region with 154 cases, Al-Baha region with 65 cases, Tabuk region with 61 cases, Al-Jouf region with 42 cases, Najran region with 35 cases, Jizan region with 34 cases, while the Northern Borders region was the lowest in real estate cases, receiving 22 cases during the same period.

The courts of Madinah region received the highest number of cases with 34 percent.

The Ministry of Justice launched the electronic real estate emptying service through agents for individuals, as part of its endeavor to serve the largest possible segment of citizens, and to activate the sale and purchase of real estate in a fully electronic process, to facilitate the beneficiaries and save them time and effort.

The Ministry explained that through the service, the property can be emptied electronically by an agent for an individual, as the individual can authorize a person through the wakala system to empty the property electronically to enable him to dispose of the property in the electronic emptying system.

Electronic real estate emptying through the Najez portal allows the seller and buyer to complete the emptying procedures around the clock and agree on the details of the sale automatically without the need for accreditation from notaries or notaries.
The Ministry of Justice has expanded the electronic real estate emptying service by making the service available through additional banks, in cooperation with the Saudi Central Bank. In addition, the Judicial Support Center for Implementation at the Ministry of Justice managed to complete 604 thousand operations during the first quarter of this year, bringing the total number of operations of the center since its establishment to more than 3.8 million operations, including 2.1 million operations during 2021.

The center handles execution requests for all regions of the Kingdom according to unified standards with precise procedural guides with a high level of quality and efficiency, managed by a specialized female cadre of 200 employees, including legal, legal and administrative researchers. The center was finally able to transfer judicial work from the enforcement departments to it to standardize and speed up procedures.
The center aims to provide support to the enforcement courts by auditing applications and verifying their integrity and completion of statutory requirements, to improve the experience of beneficiaries and reduce the time period for hearing cases in order to enhance the consolidation of the principles of institutionalized justice and raise its efficiency.

The center is responsible for processing requests for execution for all regions of the Kingdom in accordance with unified standards with accurate procedural guides for quality and efficiency.

The center contributes to spreading the culture of performance excellence, conducting research and studies, providing solutions and recommendations, reviewing and developing relevant regulations, proposing the necessary amendments, encouraging innovation and supporting the submission of ideas and suggestions to develop work.
