Revealed the Mulaak program has registered more than 8,000 associations from the beginning of the year through the end of last August, representing a growth rate of 49% compared to the same period in 2021, while the percentage of active associations reached 69% in 2022, confirming the enthusiasm of owners and residents of condominium units to establish associations, have them accredited, activate their roles, and carry out their activities.

“Malak” explained that the increase in the number of accredited associations—which have bylaws issued by the General Real Estate Authority to guide them on association matters, the distribution of roles among members, and the appointment of an association president to carry out the duties assigned to him, is part of an effort to streamline the procedures for registering, activating, and electronically accrediting co-ownership property owners for their units, in addition to addressing the challenges faced by some associations. This has led to a surge in interest among residents of jointly owned units in establishing homeowners" associations and having them accredited by the program.

It is worth noting that the program has approved 875 homeowners” associations for “off-plan” projects after obtaining the necessary approvals to establish the associations and appointing the developer as the association’s president, through sales contracts attached to the disclosure form, which includes the name of the association, the president, the property manager, the proposed contribution amount, and details of the real estate unit.
