In its future plans, Saudi Airlines has set a goal to double its fleet size by 2020, bringing its operational capacity to 200 aircraft, in addition to increasing seat capacity and domestic flights, as well as expanding to new international destinations.

Saudi Arabian Airlines CEO Engineer Saleh Al-Jasser emphasized that the airline’s strategic plan aims to double what has been achieved over the company’s 70-year history within seven years by expanding the fleet, raising the number of aircraft from the current 119 to 200 by 2020, and continuing to grow passenger numbers through new programs to improve services and the customer experience. He noted that Saudi Arabian Airlines carried more than 28 million passengers during the past year, 2014. Al-Jasser expressed his optimism during the conclusion of yesterday’s executive meeting, held under the slogan «Together We Shape Our Future,» about Saudi Arabian Airlines« ability to bring about the necessary change on schedule, and perhaps even sooner—God willing—thanks to the capabilities of its human resources, which represent the organization’s best investment, alongside its untapped potential.
