“Municipality and Housing” gives “gas” shops 60 days to implement its updated regulations

The Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing has given investors who own shops selling liquid petroleum gas cylinders 60 days to correct their situation, as the deadline for following the updated regulation expires on 5/15/1444 AH, provided that the updated regulation will be implemented after the expiration of the deadline.

The most prominent provisions of the updated executive regulation include placing a sign indicating the prices of gas cylinders, types and sizes, as well as placing an external sign for the shop in accordance with the requirements of commercial signs. The regulation includes requirements related to the shop, equipment and operation, through which the reception area and safety requirements in dealing with cylinders are taken into account, by placing the cylinders vertically and their valves upwards, identifying the locations of empty and filled cylinders and taking into account not “rolling” and dragging the cylinder with a small cart to transport the cylinders.
