4 new economic zones strengthen the Kingdom's position as a global investment center

Special Economic Zones Investment Forum, organized by the Authority for Special Economic Zones and Cities in partnership with the Saudi Program to Attract Regional Headquarters of Global Companies at The Ritz-Carlton Riyadh, announced numerous incentives designed to attract and encourage investment in special economic zones.

During the sessions, Minister of Investment Eng. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih emphasized that Special Economic Zones are the cornerstone of the National Investment Strategy, the National Industry Strategy, and the National Transportation and Logistics Strategy, noting that the new special economic zones include:  the King Abdullah Economic City Special Economic Zone, the Jazan Special Economic Zone, the Ras Al-Khair Special Economic Zone, and the Cloud Computing and Information Technology Special Economic Zone, in addition to the Integrated Logistics Special Zone in Riyadh, which was launched in 2022.

Al-Falih emphasized that the special economic zones are the cornerstone of the National Investment Strategy, the National Industry Strategy, and the National Strategy for Transportation and Logistics. He noted that the Kingdom’s economic zones are part of a comprehensive approach based on initiatives aimed at strengthening its position as a leading global investment hub and providing the ideal platform that enables companies across various sectors and industries to enhance their operations and international growth.
