The Real Estate Development Fund (EDF) has provided an electronic construction update service for the beneficiaries of the self-building who completed 3 years from the date of signing the financing contract, or start construction within a period not exceeding one year from the date of housing support, and complete it within a period not exceeding three years.

The official spokesperson for the Real Estate Development Fund, Hamoud Al-Osaimi, explained that more than 100,000 beneficiaries of the self-construction product have benefited from the service in proving the completion or start of the construction stages of their homes, which confirms their commitment to home ownership and ensures the continuity of housing support, as part of the continuous efforts to improve the efficiency of the market, in order to achieve the objectives of the housing program - one of the programs of Saudi Vision 2030.

The most important features of self-build financing (housing support):

1. Receiving the financing amount in installments according to the stages of completion.
2. Construction period as per the financing entity's policy with a maximum of 36 months.
3. Reduced installment during the construction period with some lenders.
4. Monthly financial support based on the beneficiary's net income.
