<We often hear a lot of statements that success is tainted and surrounded by many difficulties, challenges and other obstacles, but our topic today is fighting success in the work environment, which we hear constant and repeated stories no matter how technically, technically and administratively advanced that work environment is! It is the nature of human behavior, especially in the business world, that there is competition and sometimes personal challenges between individuals for different purposes such as obtaining a promotion, a specific assignment, a salary increase, or an expansion of the scope of powers; but when you succeed in achieving that goal in a proper way after God's success, you will be surprised by the existence of a hostile attitude towards you in one way or another because your success has provoked some people and moved negative feelings towards you.

In psychology, experts talk about the existence of a hostile attitude towards you in one way or another. In psychology, experts talk about the trick of defensive psychological projection; to illustrate this with an example “an employee tells you that the boss doesn't like him”, when in fact he is the one who hates that boss and has subconsciously projected those feelings onto the boss, in this way he justifies the unacceptable behavior which is the feelings of hatred for the boss!“

<These feelings are often projected onto the personality of that struggling and successful employee who worked hard and got what he strives for, from here these negative feelings that are socially and legally unacceptable, also by colleagues and sometimes managers or even business owners, which are often motivated by envy and extreme jealousy of him and his success! <These hostile feelings develop and turn into harmful behaviors and decisions that may reach the exclusion, stripping of tasks or even dismissal of that successful person without the slightest guilt! Perhaps the starting point of this evil is what God Almighty told us about in the Holy Qur'an in Surat Al-A'raf:

”He said, “What prevented you from prostrating when I commanded you?” He said, “I am better than him, you created me from fire, and you created him from clay.”12

The envious person sees himself as better and more deserving than the successful person who strived and struggled, not for anything logical but just a negative thought in his head that he projected on the successful person, such as "this successful person is a climber or a favoritist." The envious person forgets what it cost the successful person in terms of effort, fatigue, sleepless nights and waiting, he does not see the effort but judges the result based on jealousy and envy!

Our true Islamic religion has urged us to wish others well, as the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "None of you believes until he loves his brother as he loves himself." But many people have a weak religious conscience, and if this is accompanied by a negative or discouraging work environment, it would make the situation worse for the successful person; hence, the successful person must be patient with what he faces and have good reliance on Allah and that he has a reward for that, as the poet Abu al-Aswad al-Duwali said:

As the poet Abu al-Aswad al-Duwali said:

They envied the boy because they did not get his endeavor

The people are his enemies and adversaries
