The number of execution requests to evict properties from tenants registered in the “unified rent” contract in the Kingdom reached about 33.6 thousand requests during 2023, an increase of 3% from 2022, according to official data and statistics.

The electronic linkage contributes to reducing the flow of cases to the public courts, as the execution courts receive the lease contracts as an executive document to ensure that rights holders obtain their rights faster and more efficiently without the process of filing a lawsuit and attending sessions as before, which required effort and time.

After the electronic link with the Ministry of Housing, the “Unified Lease Contract” allows the right holder to apply to the execution court directly through smooth and clear electronic procedures. Through the “Unified Lease Contract” registered in the “Ejar” electronic network, property owners can apply to enforcement courts and departments directly through the Ministry's portal if the tenant does not fulfill the rent when it is due.
